DANIEL KAY
Daniel is a Director and co-founder of Hamberley as well as a Senior Adviser at Patron Capital.
Daniel co-founded Gracewell Healthcare in 2010 and has been responsible for the management and development of over 2,000 new care home beds over the last 10 years. Gracewell Healthcare was sold to Welltower Inc for £153m in August 2014.
Daniel spent the early part of his career at Citicorp Investment Bank, later joining HSBC working within the property finance division. In 1997 Daniel joined Lend Lease Corporation working as a Principal within its Private Equity division. He later joined Trizec Hahn Europe as Senior Vice President responsible for its Italian development business.
In 2003, through DKS Trading Limited, Daniel led the acquisition of Ten Harley Street Limited, a business providing flexible accommodation and services to doctors on Harley Street. In 2007, Daniel backed the MBO of Medicals Direct Group plc, one of the UK's leading providers of medical services to the UK life insurance sector bringing in Investec Bank as a lead investor. The business was sold to Capita plc in 2012.
Daniel is a graduate of the London School of Economics.
